How to Play HueTective

The Objective

HueTective is a game of social deduction and color mastery. Each player is assigned a secret color at the start of the game. Your goal is to be the first to correctly identify the secret colors of all other players.

Gameplay Flow

The game proceeds in rounds. On your turn, you can take one of two actions:

1. Make a Guess

Select colors for other players. You will receive feedback in the form of "Exact" and "Partial" matches.

2. Solve the Game

If you are confident, you can attempt to solve the entire table. Warning: An incorrect solve will lock you out of the game!

Decoding Feedback

After making a guess, the system provides two types of indicators:

EXACT MATCH

Correct color on the correct person.

PARTIAL MATCH

Correct color, but on the wrong person.

Pro Tips
  • Watch what others guess! Their feedback is public knowledge.
  • NPCs (AI players) have secret colors just like humans, but they don't take turns.
  • Use the history grid to track previous guesses and narrow down possibilities.
